The Jingle and Magic All The Way Christmas with U.S. Potatoes

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, Christmas is coming! Celebrating joyful seasonal cheers certainly comes with delicious food. When deciding a versatile yet nutritious food which is generally easy to get and easy to prepare, potato is one of my all-time favourites. Cooked potatoes with the skin are a good source of many vitamins and minerals, such as potassium and vitamin C. Aside from being high in water when fresh, potatoes are primarily composed of carbs and contain moderate amounts of protein and fiber.

I was so happy to be invited to attend Jingle U.S. Potatoes All The Way Christmas Workshop hosted at FunFun Event Space, Puchong, Selangor. This unique culinary event celebrating the versatility and flavour of U.S. Potatoes by featuring a variety of activities, cooking demonstrations and interactive workshops. 

The event kicked off with guests arriving to a vibrant product showcase. They were presented with a Potato Christmas Garden displaying an array of U.S. fresh potato varieties such as Russet, Red and Purple along with different cuts of frozen U.S. Potatoes as well as instant U.S. mashed potatoes mixes.

The fun-filled event featured various activities and games at the product showcase with successful participants receiving special prizes and free gifts, adding an element of friendly games and engagement. Guests were also captured the moment at photo booth and participated in social media contest.

The workshop began with beautiful emcee Sabrina Quigley Chin warmly welcomed guests to the main event, setting the stage for an exciting day. Mr. Eddie Saw, the Country Representative of Potatoes USA, delivered an enlightening speech about the journey and significance of U.S. Potatoes. 

Chef ZieZie presented a cooking demonstration on how to prepare Baked U.S. Potatoes with Cheese.

Renowned Chef ZieZie captivated the audience by demonstrating how to prepare Baked U.S. Potatoes with Cheese, followed by a hands-on cooking workshop with her creation of "Twinkle U.S. Potatoes Stars", a delightful potato dish using U.S. Russet Potatoes.

The celebration continued with Chef Taufiq Halim conducted a potato carving workshop, by teaching guests to carve two festive figurines using U.S. Russet and Purple Potatoes. 

To mark this meaningful and delightful celebration of the versatility of potatoes, Chef ZieZie presented certificates if attendance to guests. This was followed by a group photo session, capturing the day's memorable moments. 

A sumptuous lunch was served to guests, including dishes using U.S. Potatoes to prepare crispy French fries and baked potato with cheese. The excitement peaked with the announcement of the social media contest winners, whereby a total of ten lucky guests received special prizes for their efforts and participation. 

The Jingle U.S. Potatoes All The Way Christmas Workshop was a celebration of U.S. Potatoes, highlighting their nutritional benefits and culinary versatility. The day was filled with learning and enjoyment with delicious potato-based treats, leaving guests with a deeper appreciation for this humble yet versatile vegetable.
